All parents of 3 and 4 year olds are entitled to Nursery Education Grants from the term after the child’s third birthday (depending on actual date of birth).

During term time Nursery Education Grants entitle parents to receive a maximum of five 3hour sessions per week at a maximum of 2 registered establishments. A form will be sent to parents/carers of the child/children when eligible for these grants through Playgroup each term. Please ensure that these forms are signed and returned as soon as possible, otherwise we may not be able to receive funding and you may be liable for payment of the sessions.

All absences for funded children must be authorised by parents/ carers. Please ring playgroup if your child is unable to attend as soon as possible, if your child has more than 3 days off please bring a letter detailing the absence. This is a compulsory requirement for your funding with Derbyshire County Council.

Some children who are 2 years of age may be eligible for 15 hours of funding please see the parent’s notice board for further information.
