Matlock Pre-school Playgroup is a friendly, charity run preschool. We aim to provide a safe and caring environment where the children can develop confidence, social skills and knowledge in a fun way. With 50 children attending it is a busy pre-school with lots of opportunities for a new manager. The Pre-school is in a strong budget position so the manager would have access to funds for investment in learning equipment and activities.

We run over two sites. Our Tin Hut site is for children joining us from 2½ years and has a lovely garden, play frame and willow den. Our Woolley Road site is within walking distance and is for those children starting school in September; it has a larger indoor space along with outdoor play area, mud kitchen and sand pit. This site also has strong links with Matlock All Saints Infants School across the road.

We are currently looking to fill the role of Pre-School Manager. We require an outgoing, caring and committed person to take over the overall management and running of the pre-school. The applicant must hold an EYP/Level 3 equivalent qualification or above, First Aid and Child Protection training and it would be an advantage if you have experience as a Pre-School Manager or Deputy Manager.

This is a part-time position; the role is for 26 hours a week during term-time (4 sessions plus 12 hours management time a week). During the holidays the post is for 12 hours a week management time. There are 6 weeks holiday pro-rota to be taken during school holidays. The salary is £12.00 per hour. Some of the management time will be worked from home.

Deadline for applications: Thursday 10th August 2017

Ideal start date: September 2017
